Learnings of 2021 - Wisdom of 2022

Learnings of 2021 - Wisdom of 2022. Hey, It's Lily! I know it's been months since I've posted a blog, and for those who have been asking when I'll upload a new one, here it is! Thank you for your patience! Anyway, I can't believe 2021 has ended, and so has the holiday. I hope you enjoyed the festive season! Now it's time to reflect on things; I know so many things happened last year that put our confidence in God, patience, mental and physical health, constancy in what we do, and maybe even our obedience to God to the test. But I don't think 2021 was solely filled with challenges and sufferings. In fact, the Lord has provided us with answered prayers, unexpected benefits to meet our needs, and so much more. I personally experienced a lot of hardships last year, and most of it I brought myself in. There are times when I know what I need to do and where to go, but I don't want to. It took me months to stop resisting until I finally gave up and started do...

The waiting season

The waiting season
Hey, It's Lily!
Have you ever question yourself, "Why am I still not there yet?", "Why I'm being left behind?", "Are my struggles mean nothing?", "Am I struggling alone?", "Why everyone figured their life already?", "What is my next step?".

The answer is simple, and that is to wait.
*But, I've been waiting for so long, I want to get there by next month! I need to get this and that next week!*

*Sigh*
That is why you're not there yet! Because you are not faithfully waiting.

Let's look back on your attitude while waiting: took shortcuts, made aggressive decisions, trusted your way, didn't ask for guidance, doubted His timing. You simply didn't trust the process. And that is why you're still here, You feel stuck because you tried so hard to make the process faster than it should be.

The waiting season is the most challenging part of "getting there", we tend to do things that would prolong or even interrupt the process without realizing the objective of waiting, and that is to learn to wait faithfully. It says in Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see"

And to that is another question; "Where is the faith?"

If you are still in your waiting season, pray and be there for yourself. Be conscious of your emotional baggage, because maybe you are holding on to something that isn't supposed to be in your journey. And if you feel like giving up, pat yourself on the back for waiting bravely. Because not everyone can.

Let me end this blog with my favorite bible verse:
Ecclesiastes 3:11
"He has made everything beautiful in its own time. He has also set eternity in the human heart, yet no one can fathom what God has done from the beginning to end."
