How to fight your silent battles
"How are you? How's life going? I hope today you decided to keep going. I hope today you took a step forward. Me? I'm thankful every time I thought of you because of your courage."
How good is it to hear that from someone? How long has it been since you've been asked about how you're doing? Well, I'm glad that you're here. Let's talk about our silent battles.
Silent battles are the hardest to fight, you think you are alone, and no one could ever understand you. You are not sure where to start, how to start, and when to start. During the day, you are strong and laughing, but in your bed, you are crying, vulnerable, and hopeless. It is painful to witness yourself hurting, and no one sees your pain through your smiles. But you know what? You are not alone. You just decided to be alone. That is the truth.
This is part of the song Starlight by Bethel Music, which says:
You're like summer in the night,
The sun goes down but still, I feel you,
Every shadow's turning bright,
Every broken heart is made new...
The Lord is close to us, He is always at our reach, and you just decided to be alone. Because you are silent doesn't mean He can't hear you. Because you are in your room doesn't mean He can't reach you. We always have one way to call for help, and that is through Prayer. It is our ultimate way to connect to Him that we tend to forget. Maybe your friends and family can't see through you, The Lord knows exactly what is wrong with you. He knows how to redirect you and how to win your silent battles, you just need to surrender to Him so He can deliver you through it.
Pull yourself out of the darkness; nothing ever grows in there. Do not dwell in your pain; walk through the path of healing. It is a matter of choice. Either you surrender your battles to God, or you fight alone and never win. Because our flesh is weak, and our spirit needs the strength that comes from the Lord, that's the reason why we need Him in our silent battles, that's how we win our silent battles.
I hope you won't fight alone any longer. I hope you invest your strength in healing because the Lord isn't done with you yet. There's so much more He has stored in you. Make your silent battles loud so others can see how great is the power of prayer and healing. Make it so loud that others may be encourage by your courage to surrender. So others may see the greatness of the Lord in your life.
Remember this; "You are not meant to fight your silent battles alone, you are meant to come closer to the Lord in your silent battles".
To that, you may want to listen to these song as I end the blog:
